Arve Henriksen has gained international recognition as one of today's most innovative and expressive jazz/improvisation trumpet players. Deeply interested in sonic exploration, he has absorbed elements from a variety of folk traditions, integrated electronic processing, and developed his own vocal techniques. Arve Henriksen has released 18 solo albums and participated in over 230 recordings with other artists. He is a boundary-crossing musician who explores various musical expressions and styles. He has been a member of several groups, including Veslefrekk, Trygve Seim Ensemble, Supersilent, Christian Wallumrød Ensemble, and has collaborated with international artists like John Paul Jones, Imogen Heap, Jakob Bro, Fennesz, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Bill Frisell, Terje Rypdal, Laurie Anderson and David Sylvian. |
