HE material reminds me of 3 groups: PFM, Genesis, and Peter Gabriel. In fact, Gianfranco Rosati makes this comparason in his review of the album. The title track actually sounds like Gabriel's Biko. Other material brings in mind the transition period in Genesis' album And Then There Were Three. You can hear that there is much thought in the arrangements, but the basic songs are more light and jazzy. Yes, there are many which are in minor keys, but nothing becomes too ponderous. The mix is not dense like the earlier PFM recordings, but the sound is very clean. The vocals are well done and sung with nice harmonies. All in all, the album does remind me of Jet Lag and the latter material - songs in a more sophisticated pop oriented vein.
I purposely wanted the Italian version so I could hear how the group intended the recording to sound. It is interesting to listen to material not knowing what is being sung. It makes a person more impartial, as you can concentrate on "sound" instead of "meaning."
I have a feeling I will enjoy this album even more as time goes on, and I listen to it more. I am pleased.
