A Short Personal Reference

DUARDO MOTA was born in Gouveia (Portugal) some day during the Jubilee Year of 1958. He studied at Nun' Álvares High School in this very city and later he took his Arts-History (branch of Fine Arts History) degree at the Humanities Faculty of the University of Coimbra. In 1985 he solemnly married Her Ladyship Maria da Conceição Castro and as an effect of that blessed union came two lovely children, Inês (Iness) and Eduardo (Edward), both making the proudness of their parents.      As he could not mantain himself and his little family out of a "Baronage estate", he carries away with that maitenance by means of exercising the hard profession of teaching. He spends his overabounding time in no less dignifying activities such as History writer, cibernaut, publisher and guitar player. He also does some ocasional little repairs in the field of civil architecture every time he his asked for the purpose by his family.      Among his most refined tastes one can count the one of living quietely in the area of Parque Natural da Serra da Estrela (Natural Reserve of Serra da Estrela) in the outskirts of Gouveia and the other one of cultivating the pleasures of a well served table, mostly in the restaurant of dear friend Julio, "the great capitain of kitchen and pantry". Nevertheless his highest passions are Music, mostly Bach, Seixas, Schubert and Debussy and also paintigs, particularly those of Vermeer, Cézanne e Abel Manta. Literary Works       - «I Primi Lumi.
